Cauliflower Wings with Cashew Ranch Dressing

  • 1 head cauliflower, washed and cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 cup water
  • ¾ cup whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp kosher or sea salt
  • hot sauce such as Yellowbird or Sriracha or both
  • ½ cup raw cashews, soaked for 30 minutes
  • ¾ cup soy milk
  • ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • â…› tsp celery seed
  • ½ tsp dried dill
  • ¼ tsp mustard powder
  • ¾ tsp sea salt

Recipe Instructions

Next, follow the steps to finalize your dish and finally be able to enjoy it!
  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or mat. In a large bowl, add the water, flour, garlic powder and onion powder and salt. Whisk until combined.

  2. Add the cauliflower to the batter in the bowl and toss to combine. Remove the cauliflower pieces, shaking off excess batter, and place on the baking sheet, spaced so they are not touching.

  3. Bake for 15 minutes. Turn them over and bake 10 more minutes or until brown. Remove the pan from the oven. Drizzle the cauliflower lightly with the hot sauce of your choice. Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with Cashew Ranch dressing.

  4. For the Cashew Ranch Dressing: Drain the cashews and add the to a high speed blender. Process all the ingredients on high until smooth. Chill in refrigerator until used.
