Whole Food Plant-Based No Oil Recipes
It’s not always easy to stick with a plant-based, no oil way of eating when traveling. I’ve tried various strategies and determined which ones work best for me. I’ll be sharing what works for me, which is not to bring the whole house with me. I keep it very simple and combine some meals eaten in the hotel/air B & B with restaurant meals. I will offer some tips for those of you who don’t mind bringing more equipment, supplies, and checked luggage, but I’ll focus on keeping it simple. All recipes are oil-free.
I’ll cover:
What to take for eating on the trip (meals and snacks)
Equipment for preparing food
Groceries to pick up upon arrival at your destination
Breakfast meal options, quick lunches, and how to find restaurant meals that work with this way of eating.
Recipes for hotel room oatmeal, sandwiches, quick entrees cooked in the microwave or small appliance will be taught.

There are so many wonderful recipes for your special plant-based brunch. I love a pancake bar, set up with a griddle and a basic batter, with toppings so we can all make our own custom pancakes such as banana nut pancakes, chocolate chip, blueberry, or apple cinnamon. Savory brunch dishes such as a frittata with potatoes and vegetables, and breakfast tacos are always a big hit. I like to have something sweet too, like pumpkin bread with miso glaze. Japanese food is always going to be #1 for me. I love everything about plant-based Japanese food, starting with my miso soup. I’ll be making sushi rolls with sushi rice and brown rice and other grains, interesting fillings such as sweet potatoes, baked tofu, jackfruit, and alternates to seaweed if you don’t care for nori seaweed. We’ll also make some onigirazu—a sushi sandwich, just for fun! Plant-based tofu mayo and other sauces will also be taught. I will also make my favorite miso soup and talk about types of miso. All recipes are oil-free.
